Is it healthy to take care of cats?

You see cats can be very cute so I started taking care of one. But I was warned by my friends to refrain from them because it could trigger asthma especially to children. I have kids in my house so I really want to know if this is true so that I could just get rid of the cat given by my friend. Please help.

If your children have not shown any signs of asthma or allergies around the cat already, chances are they will not have any problems. They could develop an allergic reaction to the cat later in life, and so could you, but if they're fine right now, I wouldn't worry.

if your kids have asthma then it is really not advisable for you to own pets. their hair can trigger an asthma attact. Just dont get one you might have a problem with that.
