Sometimes I wish I could take away someone's driver license...

Yesterday, I was driving home with all five of my kids in the car. I was in the middle lane. I drive a minivan. I noticed in my side mirror that their was a small sedan on my right side, and it was coming into my lane, RIGHT INTO THE SIDE OF MY VAN! I jerked into the left lane. I was furious, and quite shook up. I look at the car that almost hit me, and it is a little old man, about 90 years old. He is staring straight ahead, not looking around him at all. He continued down the road and I kept watching him. Never did he look at the other lanes before changing, he caused 8 other cars to jerk into other lanes. Of course there was no police around to pull him over, and I don't know if he would have even noticed if a cop had tried to pull him over. How do some people keep their drivers license when they are obviously awful drivers and a danger to themselves and others?

I know how you feel. But it's the teens that drive me nuts the most. I've almost been hit by I don't know how many stupid teens. I wish I could have hunted them down and taken their license right then and there!

I am all for seniors having to take some type of test when they get older. I know personally, I don't want to be on the road if I am going to be hazard to other drivers when I get older. It's quite scarey out there sometimes.

haha...i'm really amused by the title of this discussion...it's actually the first time i've (or rather, read) somebody wish to take another person's license...but hey, i sort of agree with you...the really old and sometimes inconsiderate people should just get somebody else to drive for them since they are obviously a dangerous asset to the community... but this doesn't mean that i hate old peopl...i love all you old peaople out there! hehe..

They keep them because they haven't been reported and do just fine at the DMV office. I run into this a lot since I live in the country and it drives me crazy. Driving down the middle of the road, driving 20 miles per hour, it's a real danger to other drivers out there. More people need to report the license plate numbers of these drivers.
