Do you ever read a Farmer's Almanac? If you do, which one?

[/b][b]I'm reading The Original Farmer's Almanac: 2008 by Robert B. Thomas, the Western Edition (even though I live in the East, zone 1 in this book). A friend sent it to me. This one says we will get about 1 inch extra of rain per month until September when we will start getting behind on parcipitation. So I think this may be a good year for vines. Do you determine what you will plant by an Almanac? I only use it to decide if I should try the heavy water need plants or not.
