What did you feed them? We gave them grain once a day and lots of vegetables as well as old bread. I was reading about a farmer that gave them reconstituted powdered milk and vegetables. I was reading the ingredients on some grain up here and it included meat by-products. If I raise pigs again, I don't think I'll use hog grain now that I've read what's in it. So do you feed yours grain? If you do, what is in your grain? If you don't, what do you supplement their food with? The most fun I had was giving them pumpkins. Now that is fun! Did you have fun with any food you fed them?

Well our pigs we had as kids we got one at a time because they were runts and the farmer was gunna kill them. When we weould get them they were still small enought to be bottle fed and we trained them to be on a leash and lord have mercy it got dirty it would have a fit and we would have to give it a bath. They didn't think they were pigs they thought they were dogs or cats. We would feed it grains, dry dog foods, scraps and sad to say they even liked pork chops. lol I liked sitting in the yard with them because they would come and lay their head in my lap like a dog and keep me company.

I had cousins that did like you. They even dressed their pigs up and put them in rockers on their front porch. People would almost have car accidents. That was back when Arnold Ziffle on Green Acres, the pig they referred to as their son, was on. They called one Arnold and their own last name. I think the other one was Henrietta. Pigs can be taught anything dogs and cats can. But they aren't smart enough to stay out of the sun, ours got sunburned if we left them out. Take care.
