Whenever I'd see dudes commercial on tv for this Lifelock security service and they say that they are showing his ACTUALLY Soc.S # I always figured he was a nutcase BUT must ahve been pretty damn confident that his system/service was foolproof...Guess not..

What are your thoughts on it? Knowing that HIS S.S was used in spite of his claims etc etc would you still consider using Lifelock or have you ever considered it? why or why not?

No, I wouldn't use Lifelock. As long as there are criminals out there with computer skills there are going to be identity theft. I would rather be responsible for my own safety in this area by checking my credit report often and shredding anything with my personal information on it.

Oops! ;~D
The most telling line in this article is "Paris noted that LifeLock charges $10 a month to set fraud alerts with credit bureaus, even though consumers can do it themselves for free."

I'm not concerned about identity theft & I have never considered his service. My credit report looks like swiss cheese, a thief would have to be out of his mind to think stealing my SS# was a good plan. Hell it'd probably improve my rating if someone stole it.
