We're sending 2 Billion dollars a year to nations that hate us!

We have vast amounts of oil ourselves but we're not allowed to drill it! Cuba, offered us the rights to drill oil 6o miles off our Florida coast.. with all our capabilities and regulations.. (not one drop of oil spilled in the gulf coast hurricanes) we were not allowed to do it (by our own politicians and laws) so now China is doing the drilling there. Hopefully they have good solid modern and updated equipment and good regulations! Only looking for and developing alternative fuels and means is not enough to solve this problem before we become slaves to the Middle East and the United Nations. Or before our kids and grand kids do. What do you think? Should we give up our autos?

I think we need to keep money here to develope our vast amounbt of oil shale into gas that we need amd getting feed up with congree that ownt let us g head and drill where we can and not depend on any one for oil we have plenty in the ground if they just would dril for it and that was stupid not to take Cuba up on offer

...I heard on the radio the other day that countries who drill their own oil are paying from 40 cents, to a dollar and something, for a gallon of gas.. that would sure help out while we develop alternative fuels..

It does not sound right does it? I really think we should think about doing more things in our own country and quit depending so much on other countries. At this point and time, I don't see how we can give up our autos.

I wonder why we our own country cannot drill our own oil ourselves. Why do we have to depend upon other nations to drill oil for us? Why do you think? And we are wasting our money, sending most of the national money to foreign nations that hate us. That is bull crap. We definitely need to do something big to stop all this problem and bring our economy back to square one; especially by managing our own oil. I bet we all have to give up our own autos. What do you think?

Giving up our cars would be a good environmental plan, but not a good person plan. Think about, how often do you see a car? Every single day, unless you stay enclosed inside of your house 24/7! Letting goes of cars would be like stop breathing, because no only it is overused, health hazardous, but seemingly a...habit...
