Both schools that I have gone too require a fee to graduate. You have to pay so much to actually get your degree and then you have to pay some other random fees. I'm not sure why but that's just another way they get money out of you I guess.

I don't recall having to pay a specific fee for graduation. It could have been lumped in under the "activity fee" or something. Our activity fee was very high. This was in 1995 though, so I am sure colleges have come up with new ways to take your money since then.

if it's required then you have to abide by it. :) graduation is pretty expensive here in our place. you have to pay the grad fee, toga, yearbook, grad pics, etc. etc.

Thanks for you response, I had initially felt like I was being completely taken for my money. I feel like I have paid for graduation in four years worth of tuition....

you mean pay your school for you to pass all te subjects even if you're not and participate the graduatione rite?ii never exerienced that because i passed all the subjects/the course i took u and attented the graduation without paying any teachers in the school.paying the school for you to participate in the graduation is not good. i had my schoolmate before she pays the teacher, she has a back subject just to pass and to attend the graduation she pays for that, she really do paying because she can afford to pay-she is rich!

I would never attend a school that it was acceptable to pay for a specific grade. That is not education, what I was referring to was that, I have passed all of my courses am ready to graduate, but if I want to participate in the ceremony where they hand out diplomas I am required to pay a fee. I think this is bullocks because I have paid tuition and passed my classes for the past four years. I thought that entitled me to participate in graduation. I feel like I have already paid for that, through tuition etc.
