S/o works for a factory whose parent company is internationally known...they make everything from "stain master" to x-ray films to the green part of circuit boards to parts on the Mars Rover. Anyway a big place like that, you'd think they'd have professionally sounding names for their equipment. But no, s/o has had to go in 4 hours early the past few days to turn on the "De-Bubbler". The De-Bubbler is a very important thing, I do not have a clue how the De-Bubbler works, I just know that it has to run for four hours before they can begin running their product. The De-bubbler runs from 3am to 7 pm before it is given a rest. Someone else will have to start the De-Bubbler tomorrow though because s/o flexed the OT to just take of tomorrow entirely for a 4 day weekend. Do you have odd/funny names where you work? How would you feel if your job title was the "De-bubbler starter"...I feel like we're talking about something in Willy Wonka's factory!

Yeah, I feel like we are talking about the chocolate factory too, you know, they have to get those bubbles out of the chocolate or there will be complaints because people don't want bubbles in their candy bars... I am sorry, I had to say that..I don't know off hand of any odd/funny names where my husband works..But you have me wondering, this debubbler, I am assuming removes bubbles from something????

Air bubbles I guess. Something to do with the solution they use being really thick....same idea as the chocolate factory actually!

Ok enough talk about chocolate, my daughter just left for the movies and probably is going to enjoy a chocolate bar with her popcorn leaving me here, without any chocolate..

The factory where i USED to work is PPG, they prep the windows before going into cars. I used to put the clips on the side windows for honda civics. . The machine that puts the goo into the clips to attatch to the car is called a hopper. Lol. I dunno why.

Where I work we have all kinds of acronyms for things. RFS, request for service, SAL Service Activity Log just to name a few. De-bubbler does sound a bit funny! I guess whatever it does, it takes bubbles out! HUH, LOL

I wouldn't feel bad about the name as long as the pay and the benefits were pretty good.
