Yeah I'm in university right now and I am hoping to get my bachelor's in Musical Theatre. I love to act. It is not an easy job. Some people just think that you have to read lines and stuff but that is not even the beginning of it. You really have to become a character when you are acting. You have to be that character and you have to convince the audience that you are that character. I really like to act because I get to be different people. I get to do things that the real me wouldn't do. I mean it's a good way of meeting people yeah. And in the acting business you need to have some connections to get far and get some decent jobs. I don't know about the pay but as long as I get a good gig that will be able to pay me rent and bills then I am happy. If I don't get an acting gig that will earn me millions then I don't really care. I just want to act and enjoy it.

I kind of experienced something along the lines of acting when I worked for a traveling circus/carnival. I was a barker for both trying to get customers to pay extra to see another show. So I had to become someone else in a sense as this isn't me nor was it me at that time. Not an easy task to say the least. I did good though as they did get a lot of cash from my "barking".

LOL. That is really cool. I wonder what it would be like to work in a circus? I've never been to one but it looks like a lot of fun.

I think it's a blast! I did a few plays in high school, and was a member of our mime troupe. Then I waited 20 some years and now I'm a member of a local community theater. In February, I was Edith Crumpowski in 'My Fatal Valentine', a dinner theater murder mystery. Right now we are rehearsing for 'Murder by Magic', another murder myster dinner theater. I am Wendy Harcourt/Clarisse. (Can't really explain that, why there are two names....can't mess up the plot,lol)
As far as the pay goes....well, it's community theater...in other words...no pay!

I am not. But when my daughter was a teen she was a member of the Youth Group in our chucrch. She did some acting in plays and they traveled around performing. She got to perform at a church in Chicago actually.
