The Dugger's are expecting baby 18 due in Jan,09!

I think they're crazy. I don't understand why they are trying to single handedly repopulate the planet. I don't understand why they feel the need to continue having children. Yes, they are a blessing, yes they're wonderful but honestly, enough is enough.

It's actually kind of sad. With today's economy and families all over trying to make ends meet to support their family, these people makes jokes out of everyone else's misfortune. I know people that cannot have kids and adopting is either out of the question or too expensive and cannot have the luxury of having a family. What are they trying to prove? Are they seeing how many they can have until the state makes them knock it off?

If that is what they want sis then good luck to them , They looked a very happy and close family to me , to each their own I say xxx

I think it's craziness. What hole are they trying to fill in their hearts that 17 kids can't fill? I don't think it's good for the kids. How can you possibly give 18 children invidual attention every day? You can't! There's only 24 hours in every day. Assuming you sleep 7 hours, you're left with 17 hours. So, if all you did was spend time with your kids, and lets be honest, you have to bathe, clean, cook, pay bills, and on, and on. Each child would get a whole hour! Whoopee Doo!! I think they're oddities, and they enjoy being so.

My friends and I have discussed this family often. We don't see why they need to have so many children. We don't live in the middle ages where it was popular to have that many because many didn't survive. We're also not in the early years of American farming where you needed the extra hands for farm work. So we don't need that many children! Adopt if you want more. Geez.

Mom as long as someone is capable of looking after their family I think they should have as large or small a family as they wish. I cannot imagine caring for 18 children but this family seems to cope just fine and I cannot help but admire them! xxxxx

I understand wanting to have your own biological children, but there are a lot of children out there that need homes.

I think it is ridiculous to have so many kids. There are so much children out there who want help. If you have the money assist them instead of this. I wonder isn't Mrs Duggar tired of hearing a doctor says push. I know that the hospital staff must be overwhelmed by now. Total madness.

I've seen their show on Discovery and have read about them online. I don't normally support the idea of having so many children but, in the case of the Dugger family, they are doing a wonderful job. All of the kids seem happy and well adjusted. They get the individual attention they need and are responsible young people. I'm very happy for them actually.
