It's crazy! but it isn't changing--- prices are going up! Grocery stores are charged more for the goods they purchase-- because it costs more to get it to them- (you got it- gas prices). Milk here is still just under $3 gallon--- Gas is now $4.10 a gallon-- it sickens me! I have decided that I'm filling up every time I hit 1/2 tank-- that way it isn't so high each time :(
I live in the country so I can't walk to work or ride my bike- I've been asking about switching to 4 - 10 hour days at work.... to save each one of us

We are cutting back on everything. It is only going to get worse. The businesses will not be able to stay in business at this rate. It is so crazy. We are going to be seeing so many homeless people. We just went and bought a scooter to help with gas prices. It gets 90 miles to a gallon of gas. That should help a little, during the summer.

I know, the price of gas is ridiculously high...here it's at 1.39$ a liter, which gives approximately 5.25$/gallon....it's really hard to gas up AND buy diapers and milk for our 4 months old, never mind food for us!! They raise the cost of life, but don't raise the salaries....how can one survive?

We have the same problem in Australia at the moment too. For us, our car is used to drop our daughter at school and for shopping (got a very boring life! lol), so we don't spend a fortune on petrol at all. food though, well, it is getting harder to put a balanced meal on the table every day, but we are managing. Just means the little bit we are putting aside as savings is now a very little bit.
