I don't like using tooth pick. I think it's harmful for the teeth. I prefer to gargle or floss much more.

You are right. Toothpics are not good. Flossing is the answer. Regular check up is also mandatory for optimal health. Regular flossing can add 7 years into your life...

I have used toothpicks for years. I never thought about it being harmful to my teeth but I do tend to get alot of cavities along my gumline. Maybe I should stop.

I use a tooth pick just about every day. When i dont have floss handy. There are somethings that only floss can get out from in between my teeth, like corn on the cob for example. But for other things i use a toothpick. I prefer to use a toothpick because flossing causes my gums to bleed regardless of how regurlairy or lightly i do it.

i choose to gargle. for it is said that using tooth pick will do bad to the teeth. and once you use tooth pick, it is very easily to get a habbit of using it, and it is not easy to get rid of such habbit, what is more is that it will do maor harm to your teeth.

I think gargle can remove most of the left food in the teeth.

No I never use a toothpick on my teeth. Because I do believe it is harmful. You can hurt your gums. Brushing and flossing is all you need to do and of course gargling.

I don't like using toothpicks either. I've been told that it makes the gaps between our teeth bigger, it sounds like a logical explanation to me, so I hardly use a toothpick. I only use one when I really need it and I cannot wait to floss or gargle.

I much prefer to use a piece of floss or thread than a toothpick (for getting food from between my teeth) I am not gifted in the art of using a toothpick and most always jab myself with one... owie.

I try to avoid them. I brush and floss everyday so my dental health is taken care of. Occasionally food gets stuck and if I have no access to floss, I may resort to toothpicks and I try to be as gentle as possible.

This time i must say that i am following for harmful thing that you said, yea.. i use the tooth pick to remove the " TINY DRAGONS"that get locked inside the cavity in my teeth. yea.. it is tiny dragon for me, unless it is removed, i cant concentrate on any other job, because my tongue constantly tries to remove it, makes all sorts of efforts.. twisting, turning,. and finally i always seek the help of the tooth pick to get rid of the dragon from the cavity.

I think it's better to fix the cavity earlier. As it will be a big trouble when it grows bigger.

Hi youless! I gargle and use the floss most of the time. In cases that I have to use the toothpick, it is when I eat in restaurants and only if I really need to use a toothpick. However, if i can avoid using one, I would avoid it and just gargle in the rest rooms/toilet using my bottled water. haha.. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

I am used to use the tooth pick.Because my gum is bad,and my teeth gap is wide. So,I have to pick it.Or,I 'll feel very bad.

sometimes i use tooth pick but i won't use ordinary tooth pick. i prefer bring on my own tooth pick which little bit expensive than ordinary tooth pick. you are right that tooth pick can harm our teeth and gum if we don't use it carefully

Most of the time I feel uncomfortable after eating meat or leafy vegetables, as the fibrous stuff will always get stuck in my teeth. I am used to brush my teeth after having meals at home. I use either the floss or toothpick to get rid of it for my convenient. It is not decent or elegant using either one openly in front of other persons especially when sitting around the dinner table. It is polite to do the picking by using the tissue to cover the mouth or do it in the rest room. Using toothpick too often would damage our gum.

You are right. I think it is not so proper to use toothpick or floss in front of others. We'd better to do it privately.

no i don't use toothpick..your right its harmful for the teeth..the more that you us etoothpick is the more that your creating a hole on your teeth spaces..its better to use floss than toothpick to remove anything that you eat that get stucked on your teeth..its more healthier for the teeth rather than toothpick..
