Yes, it's true that the memory and the concentration increase gradually with the help of Yoga. There are several reasons for that: First, it develops a strong connection between our mind and body, and it also reduces stress and helps us stay focused when under pressure. The other thing Yoga does is that it makes the body more symmetrical-- what summectrical means is that we usually have a dominant part of our body. One side is stronger and one side is flexible. What Yoga does is that it helps balance the body. It makes both sides equally flexible, equally dominant and equally strong nad that creates body symmetry--thus creating a sense of calm in the body and physically makes the body more sound. And a sound, healthy, balanced body can concentrate much better than one that is imbalanced and unhealthy. There are many Yogic Techniques which stimulate the brain and nervous system to improve and concentration like Dharana, Pranayama and Meditation. Yoga, if done regularly can prevent memory lapses by calming us and enhancing our concentration. It also improves our power of recall by improving blood circulation to our brain.
