Chain mail ever get any?

Ok so we got a chain letter in the mail (snail mail) the other day and I am thinking " I thought it was illegal to send out chain letters?". Have you ever gotten one? Is it illegal to send these out?

chain letters don't really bother me that much, i don't even read them, i don't want to bother myself with useless stuff....

they don't bother me either they just take up room in the garbage lol.

I get them occasionally. Yes, they are illegal to send and you can be fined if you are caught doing it, but most people just throw them in the trash and that's the end of it.
I throw them in the compost bin. At least they're good for something!
