I was watching TV inside the house when my little cousins ages 4 and 8 were playing with two other friends at the pool in our backyard. Suddenly my cousin had called me. I rushed outside because I can sense there was something wrong in her voice. When I got there I saw all four of them beside the pool, one boy ( one of their friends) was crying. When I asked why they told me that somebody had been throwing rocks at them from the other side of the wall. They showed me the rocks and it was the size of a baseball!! The boy that was crying was hit on the left shoulder and he got bruised. They also told me that my 4 year old cousin was almost hit on the head if he hadn't moved forward. So I sat beside them and after a few moments a rock had fallen from the sky! I realized it came from our neighbor! So I went to their house and a little boy answered. "Are your parents home?" i asked. "No, they're not here." he said. "How about your nanny?" "Nope." he said. "Don't you have any grown up with you?" "No! Go away!" he suddenly snapped. I was shocked by his attitude. I've never met a kid as rude as he was. Somebody must have heard him because I heard footsteps inside the house. A man had came out. "What is it?" he asked. "Good morning sir. I'm sorry to bother you but somebody has been throwing rocks at my cousins who are playing in our backyard. One of them had gotten hurt." The man looked at the boy and the boy immediately wept! "Say sorry to the lady." "NO!" he said violently. I didn't want to see or hear anymore of the kid because i was frankly horrified with his attitude. So I said it was okay and i'll leave it up to him to discipline the kid. So I went back home and told my cousins to do play playstation iside the house instead. I just can't believe that some kids are like that. They're supposed to be sweet and innocent. What if He had hit my cousin in the head and somebody had gotten seriously injured or worst--died! It's so terrifying!

Lots of kids are getting so unruly these days. I'm glad none of your cousins or their friends were seriously hurt...but they could have been. If the boy who threw the rocks was my child and you walked away when he refused to apologize, I would have disciplined my child and COME OVER to your place with my child to apologize. Just shows that the parents aren't disciplining right and now wonder the kids turn out that way. I have been seeing so many rude kids lately and when they come over to stay at my place, I can see that it's not the child's fault! Despite what they say they are doing, it's mostly the parents who do not nip things in the bud. Mistakes happen, kids will be kids...but it's for the adults around them to correct them and make sure they behave or know how to admit their mistakes and apologize when they are pointed out to them.

I don't wonder...because I see lots of kids like that and I'm not very happy with what I see. I definitely do not want my kids to be around such kids and be influenced to the extent that I cannot correct them.
