Well, I think you're onto something there. If you look and study the top guys on the Forbes List of World Billionaires, you'll find that many of the guys on the top, did not have making money as their goal in life. The two guys that everyone thinks of are Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. Both have revolutionsised the way people do things and made fortunes out of it. However, money is not their primary goal. For Gates, the dream was to make the computer accessible to everyone. Prior to him and Microsoft, computers were the preserve of big companies. Likewise for Warren Buffet, he's motivated by his passion for investing. As he so famously says, "I'm more interested by processes than proceeds, though I've learned to live with those as well." Just looking at these two men, it seems that having a dream and passion for what you do are probably more important than the desire to get money into your hands in order to succeed in life. Another person who is an example of someone who made money by not being motivated by money is Sam Walton. The man was more interested in giving good value to ordinary folks and he was driven by passion for that dream. It should be no surprise that a basic retailer is one of the largest companies in the world.
