Have you lost your spouse to his computer?

I have, but differently than most. My husband is a computer design engineer and loves to 'doodle' around with different programs. He's on his computer so much that, to get his attention sometimes, I stick food in front of his face. Then he realizes that he's been on it too long. Any other stories about spouses who spend too much time on the computer?

I haven't lost my spouse, but she has lost me! As soon as I get in from work, I am checking my work e-mails, only because of the nature of my business...printing. I also check my personal mail to see who has responded to me. She stays down in the Family Room watching the T.V., nodding off (can hear the snores after awhile).

For me, the situation would be reversed. I fear that my spouse has lost me to the computer. He feels that I spend too much time here. The other day he told me that I was on the computer everytime he turned around. Which is funny, considering that he took a big lazy three hour nap in the evening and then watched two hours of TV while I was washing dishes and preparing dinner. Apparently, since he did not see me he assumed that I was working online while fairies prepared the meal! During his nap, I let my daughter get online to watch her shows and play educational games. I had to tell him that he wasn't present for most of my day as he was either watching tv or snoozing! He has not made a comment since!

It's funny that you mentioned that story! Men can be funny sometimes! Since I've been on myLot, my husband is actually beginning to notice how much time I spend on the computer and has commented on it. I had to remind him that he's usually on his, even though it is usually work-related, and I get lonely just watching a movie by myself while he works, or something to that effect. He stopped commenting, too, just like yours! But mine now comes into my office (we each have separate offices) and sits while I spend time here in myLot. I think he's actually becoming jealous! LOL I told him that he should move his office into mine. There's room, so he could do it. Now, I'm afraid he'll actually do it! LOL

I haven't really lost my husband to the computer but he spends a lot of time on Ebay, buying and selling motorcycles and parts so there are times when he's busy and is online a lot.
