Despite the fact that I like a lot of metal, I have often ignored this legendary band. Can anyone give me recommendations to what some good stuff is? I have already listened to their albums ad Wings of Destiny and Painkiller and some other selected songs.

I've heard a lot of them but never got down to listen to them. yup.... I assume their music is awesome. Are they still together and performing?

For songs Id reccommend: Blood Red Skies, Breaking the Law, Hell Bent for Leather, Metal Gods, Screaming for Vengeance, The Hellion/Electric Eye, Painkiller, You've Got Another Thing Coming..... Albums...: British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance and of course...Metal Works: 1973-1993

I'm not heavily into Priest but I do like what I've heard from them. Downing and Tipton's guitarwork goes very well with Halford's voice. I'd recommend the album Screaming For Vengeance, British Steel also has some good stuff on it.
