I found out today that my uncle Calvin has passed away. The doctors told him about a year ago that he had six months to live. He had cancer, but hung on for as long as he could. I am sure that his 35 year old son being diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer, did little to boost his will to live. They say that the kind of kidney cancer that he has is normally only found in the elderly and is rare at that. The one thing that keeps crossing my mind is imagining my cousin at his dad's funeral, knowing that he is battling the same thing that his dad has died from. His mom also died of cancer when he was seven. My mom, his aunt, died when I was ten years old. Cancer is just maddening. It seems to have no rhyme or reason. It just keeps popping up in my family and taking them out one at a time. I know that known or us will live forever. We all will die somehow, from something, but this cancer thing has just got me feeling things that are hard to explain.

HUGSSSS I am so so sorry to hear about your Uncle Rozie - So sorry for your loss. Matt's Aunty is going through the same thing and he was told yesterday that according to the doctors, she only has a few weeks to live. Cancer has taken a few of his family members already too.

I would think that I would be more accustomed to this kind of thing by now. But every time it seems like I am dealing with it for the first time. I am sorry to hear about your husband's aunt. I wish there was no such thing as cancer. It is just so horrible.

Hi Rozie! Im so sorry to hear about your uncle Calvin. I know cancer is very maddening and I wish they could find a cure. Sometimes I think they do have a cure. But anyway my prayers are with you. I know we all must die but dying from cancer is way too painful. Hugs!

Thank you so much. You are right, cancer is such a painful way to die. You just literally fade away to nothing. And the suffering that you go through is nothing short of horrible. All your loved ones can do is sit by helplessly watching you go. You they finally go, you not only have to deal with the pain of losing them, but you also have to deal with the guilt from the relief that you feel, because they are no longer suffering so much.

I pray that your cousin will be comforted and his pain will be eased. And I hope that nothing but compassion be shown to you and your family at this very trying time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. ** HUGS **. Your family has my sympathy. Girl, this cancer is something else. It has affected my family too. One of my uncles is battling lung cancer, they had caught it at an early stage. My sister father-in-law has just been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, its shutting his kidney down and theres many others. I was talking to my sister the other day and I was asking her why we never heard of cancer back in the days, but know today thats all you hear. Theres all types of cancer, alot of them I've never heard off. I wonder how do people get cancer? Do everybody have it and its just a matter of time before it actually makes us real sick. I just don't know.

You are absolutely right, everything happens for a reason. I know that I am not going to always know why things happen, so my mission is to learn to trust God more and more each day. He always works things according to his perfect will and he is always in control. Thank you so much for responding.
