What do you have on the walls in your room / apartment?

I have noticed that people have very different likings in regards to what to have on the walls in your room or apartment! Some people have the walls full of paintings, photos in frame or posters whereas some settles for only one or two. Some people have nothing on their walls at all, and some people make their walls decorative with feature walls etc. In my home I only have a few photos in frames and one painting that means a lot to me! How do you fill your walls, or do you? The things that you have on your wall, do they have a special meaning to you? How do you like your walls?

I'm renting a place so there's laminated rules on paper and hotline to call in case of emergency. I also have a calendar, i posted it myself, nearby my bed because I put a mark on everydate at the end of the day. I'm a very forgetful especially when it comes to date. I also a poster or God beside it, very small. And I guess that's it. I don't post a lot because it's prohibited, it's part of the rules here in my building that posting whatever on the wall is prohibited..

I know what you mean, I have also lived at places where you weren't allowed to put holes in the wall for hooks etc. Then you just have to put stuff up where there is already hooks. I found that it worked quite as well to have frames standing on your tables or on a bookshelf instead. However, of course it is more fun when you live at your own place so you can put stuff wherever you want to!

I share a 20-sq.m.-size room with three classmates.Once we got prize for our collage and we intended to paste it to the wall, but finally we gave up. though it only made our dormitory seem more smaller and crowded.I think we had better leave the wall white and clean in summer.

Yeah, sometimes you just have too little room to do anything. You have to have the walls for shelves and hooks to get things out of the way!

Hi there Emiese! Well, we have one side of our bedroom walls covered with educational charts and drawings of our five year old son. We practice reading with the charts there.

That must be great, then you will have really nice professional photos! That is more like art than family photos! I wish I knew how to take photos more than as an amateur!
