1. I read in amazement, the story of a woman who asked for a divorce from her husband of 30 years .Her reason is that the husband lifted the veil from her face while she was sleeping. She said for 30 years of marriage she has never shown her face to her husband in conformity with her tradition.
Though, the husband apologised and promised never to do it again, she insisted on having the divorce. The thought of this made me laugh and at the same time surprised me. It obviously means the husband had been living with a stranger all along for 30 years .What do you think about this, would you choose tradition over your marriage?

I know islam women will not show their face to other men, except thier husbands, but in this case this typical wife is not even showing her garb to her own husband which is really surprising and I never ever heard this before.

I mean no disrespect but I really hope that story's not real. it sounds totally loveless which is something I could never live with.

wow! Is this happening? I can't imagine falling in love with someone whose face is stranger to me!Anyway, if it's their culture and tradition, I have to respect it but, I wish after 30 years, the husband was fully aware the consequence of doing so!

Thats so funny. I don't think I'd want to be married to someone w/o seeing their face. I think if she could see hers its only fair he see hers. He apologized and he wants to stay with her after seeing her face. I say to heck with tradition.

Oh my I have to chuckle with this one... no disrespect to the culture but like he could be sleeping with a different woman every night and wouldnt even know it. lol
It would say to me that love never really existed if you are willing to divorce for that reason. I would imagine that divorce would be high up there with breaking the promise to your higher authority.

it was funny to me too,i figure the guy could have been sleeping with anybody as long as its a woman and i will like to add that maybe the lights are always out when they are at it too.no offense to the culture though but i dont think ny culture has the right to break a marriage, what do you think?
