Real life situation

Have you ever tried to pay cash to the doctors office for there services. Do they look at you as if your are out of this world for offering to pay cash? It seem that it you don't belong to a healthcare plan or are a member of a PPO you cannot be treated. Cash is of no value for services rendered if you have no healtcare or belong to a plan. What is your experience?

I guess I am lucky here. When I pay cash to see my doctor he cuts it down to 60 bucks! I rather pay that then have my insurance pick up the tag. Plus he looks at my kids because the cash price for a pediatricians is outrageous. I have to admit I believe 100 percent that I have one of the greatest doctors ever!
