Memorial Day Weekend Money to Burn?

Memorial Day weekend is here and my family is staying home, no trips to see relatives or mini family vacation. The current gas prices have kept our vehicles parked in the driveway.
We are having a cookout, but even that's expensive with the price of food.
Have you changed your holiday plans based on the current economical situation?

My sister and her husband both had Thursday off, so the 4 of us went along a winery trail. That was our holiday celebration, instead of going out of town. My car was empty when we got back, and I decided to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to gas up, in hopes that the prices will go back down after the holiday.
