My long waited star

Yesss! finally! Just a while ago (it even takes a while before I noticed) I got my long waited star with "8" on it! don't know what does that number it implies, but nevertheless I'm sooo happy! I think I can sleep well now LOL! Thanks to MyLot and to my fellow MyLotters for all the support you unselfishly sharing to a newbies like me. I'm now even more inspired! Cheers!

It does take a while to reach the 100 posts required for a star because posting seems to take longer when you first join Mylot. nevertheless, congratulations on reaching the target.
The number on the star relates to marks out of ten for other members' opinions of your responses and discussions, so a rating of 8 is good.

An 8 star is very good for a new bie.
It shows that you have posted things which others like.I say this because you have less friends as a new bie who will see your post and rate.
I had a 5 star when I reached 100 posts.
Thats when I started to think about the disadvantage of not having many friends.
This is because if you have more friends more people will see your response and if they like it they will rate it.

Welcome aboard! I was excited when I got mine as well. I started with an 8, then the next day I was a 9.
The rating doesn't mean anything to me, though. I'm here solely for the comeraderie and sharing of knowledge. This is such a wonderful site!
