How racist are you?

Today while I was listening to some people talk I began to feel like I was watching that Spike Lee movie "Do the right thing". I know everyone has biases and prejudices to some degree....but do we not realize that it was approximately 60 years ago when it was offensive for a group of white people to talk about black people as they "moved into" the neighborhoods....but this time it was about Mexicans moving into the area. I think anyone who dwells on the negative talk like this are ignorant souls. And what I found even more offensive about the topic of conversation was people who must have had relatives who had suffered from such talks 60 years ago were making the worst comments. As more and more immigrants come to this country do you think we can ever trully get over our racist views?

It seems that with more immigrants coming in to the country, it's getting worse. They hide racism by going with "illegal". Immigrants should become tax paying citizens that I do agree with but I don't think that just because they weren't born here they don't belong here. America was a land built by immigrants and has been a safe haven for immigrants. I think we should try to remember the foundation that America was built on.
