School lunch memories

I just finished eating a cheese steak and it reminded me of high school lunch. Most of the school lunch I remember from elementary to high school tasted pretty decent. There are a few that stand out because I thought they were good.
We didn't have the same lunch in elementary and middle that we did in high school. We had to wait until high school to get the french fries and steak subs. One of my all time favorite lunches in school was grilled cheese and tomato soup. I don't know if it was the bread or the cheese. I come close at home but I just can't duplicate it exactly. We had this pizza thing that was like a calzone that was really good too.
What were your favorite school lunch meals?
My favorites were:
Grilled cheese and tomato soup
Cheese steak subs
Spaghetti ( I loved the cheesiness)
Pizza/ pizza pockets
French fries
Mashed potatoes
Butter crunch cookies

I'm in college right now and the food is pretty good. I especially like the sandwhiches. But I really miss the high school lunch. The yummy pizza and burgers, and the frozen peaches. I really miss it and it tasted so good. What made it even better was that for me school lunch was free. But now it's not. Although I do get a meal plan in my college and if I don't have any more money in my meal plan I make sure that I have some extra money in my paypal for when I am hungry.

oh...hehehe well i can't really remember. all i can remember was that in grade 1, my mom sent me packed lunches to school. and i was scolded because i got caught trading my nice good to my playmates' toys.. it was a really crazy idea and i was on the losing proposition. anyway, i was punished for lying and for not eating my lunch. lol
i was so thin then!!!!!!

Gees I would have been your friend to swap with..I know I used to get strasburg sandwiches and tomato sauce a lot and of course vegemite sandwiches..we didn't have much money inthose days so I didn't get a lot of lunch money but lunch always tasted nice...

I didn't like any of my school lunches. The only time I really liked lunch was when it was something the cooks didn't have to fix, like sandwhiches but we only got those sometimes. I guess the chicken nuggets we had weren't so bad, especially not when you covered them in honey.
