Hi everyone, As it is the beginning of the summer I am spending all my time sneezing and blowing my nose. I get allergies really bad at this time of the year. My daughter also gets them but she does not sneeze...instead she breaks out into hives and swells up. Do you have allergies? Any suggestions of good things to do to lessen the effects? Any suggestions to treat hives and swelling? Thanks for your help,

Fortunately, I do not have any allergies (not that I know of, at least). But I guess that means I can't really help you on this...

I remember when I'm still a kid I have allergies to sea foods like shrimps and crabs. But now it is all gone. One thing I have from now is the allergies from smoke any kind of smoke specially vehicle smokes it gives me cough like a asthma but my doctor said it is not an asthma I felt itchy feeling in my throat when I inhaled a smoke. Maybe try to consult a doctor so that you can know what the cure.

Benadryl is excellent for both sneezing/runny nose and hives. My son used to get hives whenever he got into the swimming pool! We don't have a clue as to why, because it was a kiddie pool and I used no chlorine. I emptied it and refilled it, but he still got hives and swelling. He also got them when having a water battle with Supersoakers. His pediatrician told me to give him Benadryl before he got into the pool and it worked like a charm! I hope this helps.
