Can someone explain why smokers choose to throw their ashes and cigarette butts out their car windows when smoking in their cars?
Is it that they don't want to get their cars dirty? But, it's okay to litter on the streets?
Maybe they don't want their car smelling like smoke, which is interesting considering they smoke in their car.
I have nothing against smokers, what adults want to do with their life is up to them as long as they aren't hurting others. I just don't understand why you can't use the ashtray in your car. You can always clean out your ashtray.
This irritates me, because at least once a week I'm driving behind someone who flicks their cigarette butt out the window.
Please stop.

As an ex smoker who used to smoke in their car, I can tell you that the newer cars don't provide an ashtray. But that doesn't justify throwing it out the window. I'm glad I don't smoke anymore, it's a nasty habit.

So true. I often stand at traffic lights and the amount of butts on the street especially there is enormous. I suppose, if you inhale filth in your body it doesn't matter if you create a filty environment as well.
