How many times can you do something and not "Pay the fiddler" ?

I just read this joke and it got me thinking. How many times can you do something wrong/right before it either pays off or slaps you hard? Like people that drive drunk... Or those that vollenteer .... Or help others.... Or are mean? Thoughts? xoxoxoxoxoo A census taker in a rural area went up to a farmhouse and knocked.
