I guess I didn't sleep well last night as I woke with this question... if you printed out EVERY page on the internet, web sites, blogs, store sites, info sites,.....if it is on the web and you can click to get to it, - if you print it out .....how many pages would you have? I know, I need to get a life, but what do you think?

Well, to start with the cost of ink would be outrageous and then there's the paper to consider. I printed off all the quests for 2 zones in my EverQuest game and have almost a full drawer of papers. That's just two zones...there's over 200. When you consider all the websites, photo sites, blogs and recipe sites it boggles the mind. I couldn't even imagine trying to print out a whole site much less the internet. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I couldn't even begin to figure out the amount of ink and paper...it would be outrageous though. It is something to think about though...alot of ppl don't realize just how much is on the internet. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Absolutely mind boggling, isn't it! Third question - how many gallons of ink would it take? I won't even go into the trees for paper!

Too many too count. There would be billions. Better question is what printer could handle that load?? :)

AAHHHH!!! There's the next question - how many printers would it take to print it all out and how long would the printers have to continously print to accomodate the MANY pages?

It would take millions I'd imagine for quite a long time.

wow---that is a really good question. I guess since new pages are popping up every single day, I don't think you would ever be able to actually print them all out, and you might just well run out of paper. So a better question might be, do you think there are enough trees on this planet to make paper for a humungous project like this? But also one of those ambiguous ones, 'cause I don't think we'll ever know the answer. Hope you get to sleeping better, coffeebreak, lol!

Lol coffeebreak. Count internet pages. Let me know if it works. Putting you to sleep that is. If not you can try reading the new GH spoilers. They are putting me to sleep...

Just so we don't start trying to get to sleep by counting the responses to our myLot discussions, lol. Some would do better at that than others, of course, but sheep might be more restful.

yeah, I didn't even go to the trees! And then there is the time - how LONG would it take to print them all out? just something to wear imagenations out thinking bout it - might get some sleep if I count "printed internet pages" instead of sheep!

I think you had better use recycled paper if you try to do that or we would not have any forests left--that many.

Gee, this is a very tough question, I'll have to admit....right now I think there's over one billion websites on the internet, and some websites have long pages or many pages associated with them. If we were to print every page on the internet, I guess it will take a minimum of 10 billion papers (or pages) to do it. Besides, with the internet growing with more and more internet sites mushrooming each day, I think 10 billion will be really an understatement and the number of pages will go even way more than that, even till 50 billion or more I dare say. I guess this is a question where no one will really know the answer except God!

Plus with the new 2.0 internet launching in June 2008, there's probably going to be even more! But yeah, thank God and Greyhound we don't have to know how many!

We'd be talking in the trillions here. Everyone knows how easy it is to create a website, and you'd be surprised how many internet "noobs" just create and create and create away. I'd guess 8.3 trillion, and a little left over. ~Noodlebrain0

Hey, noodlebrain - So you're saying there'd be less than our national deficit?!?! Just kidding - except for the age of dinosaurs and the ND - I haven't heard "trillion" anywhere else! Yeah, there are tons of stuff on the web - I am sure it is stagering!
