If there is no God, who woke us up this morning. The holy book says God give us the breathe of live. We can breathe the fresh air, we are able to know what is right from wrong. Without God our very existence will be naught. Look around you and you will see the wonders of God. Are you still saying there is no God.

Yes, I am still looking around and saying that there is no God. Your argument for the existance of God is flimsy and nonsensical at best. I find that God is often just a quick and easy explination for something that one does not yet properly understand. For example, what made the sun rise this morning? God. Why is there lightning and thunder? God wants it to be that way. Why do bad things happen to good people? It is all part of God's plan.

Lets see, what woke me up this morning... well, today it was probably the traffic. Yesterday it was the sun (it's overcast today). The day before that was probably pain (broken toe). So... either the traffic, the sun (that's a popular choice) or pain (not so popular, but you'd be surprised) is God. If God is the one that lets us know what is right from wrong He's doing a dang fool job of it. We all have different views of what is right from wrong... and they differ from person to person. Does God have a split personality? If you believe in God, that's great. Some people don't and no amount of semi-logical rationalising is going to convince them. Nothing you do can convince them (well, I've seen rational conversions... but they're rare). If believing in God is right for them they will find their own way, perhaps God will give them a little push. For the record ('cos it's gonna come up and it's annoying me trying to skirt round it so often) I believe in a deity. Yet your proof only goes to show me that there is no God. If you're proof isn't enough for a little ol' believer it's going to do nothing for an atheist.

If you're not trying to convince anyone... why post it in a discussion forum that you know is going to be read by people of all faiths? Just to... proclaim your beliefs to the world? And please, don't tell me to go read the Bible... it gets really tiresome. As is Proverbs; repetitive, inane, full of hatred (and I shall laugh at your disaster, mock your calamity) and contradictory advice (seek out understanding... do not rely on your understanding) it doesn't even get to actual 'wisdom' until chapter 10, before that it's all 'wisdom is good, God is powerful, wisdom is good'. Maybe it was more interesting in the Hebrew... or the Egyptian if the main section of actual proverbs is indeed based on the Instructions of Amenemopet... but I've never read the latter so I wouldn't be able to compare. Off on one Aerliss... You waited for a response from me (which implies you expected such responses)? I'm known? Teh awesome! lol, sorry... funny mood tonight; I've spent hours watching Angel and I may be suffering from slight cabin fever and an OD on tea.

You know I was wondering how I didn't receive a response from you but here it is. Now Shard, I am not trying to convinced you nor will I throw down anything in your throat. Proverbs is a book about WISDOM. I would advice you to read it. Now about the traffic etc. God is the one who gave us five senses. It is only him who give life. I wish you all the best.

This reminded me of a dream I had recently. I was talking with a figure in this dream about beign under God's grace and I was in doubt that I was still there. The figure in the dream said "you are alive arent you". I woke up after that and I didnt recall the dream until I had a momment of prayer the other day. With the knowledge of I am alive than yes I believe not only is there a God but that I am still under his grace.

Just a sign of confirmation bias, lol. Being alive isn't proof of anything--doubt is the only rational stance to take.

"If there is no God, who woke us up this morning." I woke myself up. "The holy book says God give us the breathe of live." The Bible also says that insects have four legs. What's your point? "We can breathe the fresh air" That's because we adapted to our environment, like all other living things. Bonus fact: the earthly Earth's atmosphere had a lot less oxygen than it does now, and oxygen was downright poisonous to the earliest life forms. "we are able to know what is right from wrong." That's because morals are naturally selected: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4766490.stm "Without God our very existence will be naught." Please, that's just your fantasy. Even if an intelligent deity was responsible for existence, there's no way a measly human could figure that out. Humans can't even sense 95+% of NATURE (atoms make up less than 5% of the universe), much less the supernatural. "Look around you and you will see the wonders of God." Just a sign of your confirmation bias. "Are you still saying there is no God." I still say you've got no evidence at all. Without evidence, believing in God is the same thing as believing in Hercules.

It is a scary world we're living in. I know there is a God. Of course there are those that will say 'Prove it' not realizing it isn't a thing that can be proven by another person. It's something that starts within, within the person asking the question. They don't know that if they ask with a true heart that He will show Himself.

"It is a scary world we're living in." Fear doesn't make comforting thoughts real. "I know there is a God." No, you don't. You merely pretend you do. It's impossible for a human to know something like that for sure, and it's surely a sign of self-delusion to make such an obviously false statement. "They don't know that if they ask with a true heart that He will show Himself." Of course, it's obvious that what you're really saying here is that anyone who doesn't believe in God has an 'untrue' heart. That's exactly the kind of reprehensible bigotry that makes people start questioning the tenets of this 'loving' religion to begin with. It's really pitiful to not even be aware of how vitriolic your words are.

Yes, it is a scary world we live in. Just because of such unbelieving statements as that. I know what I know. I didn't exactly come into this world knowing who or what God was you know. That's what happens when we are incapable of believing in only ourselves and what we can see with our own eyes. If we can't see it we say it doesn't exist. Well, I have never seen the wind so according to you it doesn't exist. A person born without sight has never seen the color of a tree or the color of the sky. Does that mean it doesn't exist? There's more to this world we live in than the things we see in the natural. I was not insinuating that people that didn't believe in God didn't have a true heart. There are wonderful people out there that have true hearts. But those with narrow minds, hard hearts, and hateful attitudes will never have to worry about knowing if there is a God or not. They have already been blinded by thier own so called self instilled wisdom. And yeah, that's scary and sad.

My opinion is "GOD is like the wind". You cannot see the wind. You cannot touch the wind. So does it means that there is no wind? No, since u can feel it, that's how u know there's wind. Same here with GOD. You cannot see GOD (most people never see GOD in person) You cannot touch GOD. But you cannot say that there is no GOD. Just like the wind which we cannot touch or see, but we can feel it, so is GOD. We can feel His presence if we really looking for HIM.

"My opinion is "GOD is like the wind". You cannot see the wind. You cannot touch the wind. So does it means that there is no wind?" Big problem with that analogy: you can measure the wind, and anyone can feel the wind, even if they don't beleive it's there. "No, since u can feel it, that's how u know there's wind." Exactly. "Same here with GOD. You cannot see GOD (most people never see GOD in person) You cannot touch GOD. But you cannot say that there is no GOD." Sure I can, by your own logic; I can't feel god. "We can feel His presence if we really looking for HIM." That's a load of baloney. Reality is what it is regardless of what you believe, and anything you can "feel" ONLY by believing in it is obviously not real.
