Does your kid like eating taco chips?

What do you do, when your kids keep asking for snack foods and you don't really want them to have any? This morning my kid woke up demanding potato chips. I'm not in the habit of giving out snacks so early. So, for awhile, I was in a quandry. She refused to eat anything else. She didn't want breakfast. So, I fished around the cabinets until I found the taco shells. She loves taco shells. I baked them up and broke them apart. Now, she's happily munching on taco chips. I know that it's not as good as a bowl of grits or cereal. But, taco chips are way healthier than Lays pototo chips. Or, at least I hope they are.

Nope if they ask for it instead of a meal then they go hungry snack/junk foods are not there for main meals so if they refuse their normal healthy food then they go hungry they generally eat what they are given and are allowed treats aswell but only after a good healthy meal is eaten.

Oh, that's tweet! Sounds like good old mom manipulation. "Like it or lump it, kiddo. I don't care". And, I'm sure your kids appreciate going hungry. I've tryed refusing my child a healthy snack (which by the way it is healthy) to get her to eat a regular meal. And, then she just refuses to eat all day long. My kid is a little old for that kind of manipulation. She could outlast you, too.

Sorry! I'm having a bad day. I shouldn't have taken it out on you. You have a right to feed your kids in the way you want. I wish your advice would work on my kid. She eats well enough. But, lately she's having trouble with her teeth. Sorry to sound so angry at you. It's not you. It's me.

I don't have a kid, but I have a husband, and sometimes that is the same as having a kid. LOL My husband and I preer taco (nacho, tortilla) chips over potato chips, and we eat them with all kinds of good stuff on them like cheese, or salsa, or bean dip.
