I'd go to the coffee shop or the library. I can think better in those places. How bout you? when you need a break and need some place to unwind? where would it be? at a secluded beach? Where?

Funnily enough I cant totally shut off at work, specially if the customers elswhere while im grooming, I can get to the end of the dog without giving it much though and just feel relaxed, otherwise a walk with the dog some quiet time on the pc doing nothing much, leading a busy hectic lifestyle i grab peace and quiet whenever i can.

My circumstances are limited due to health problems, lack of money or a car so the place I go to to find myself some peace and quiet is my bedroom. I go to my room, I shut the door and lock it and then I put foam ear plugs in my ears and either go on the computer or lay on my bed. It works pretty good for me too otherwise I'd probably be totally bonkers! I live with my adult daughter and her three young sons, all under 9 years old.

after an argument with my husband, i usually lock myself up inside the bathroom.. Inside, i'm thinking over to what had happened while soaking myself with water.. :) and after i realizes things, finally, i'll let myself out of our bathroom after a couple of hours stay, and find my husband waiting for me outside our gate.. Since then, after having argument with him again, he'll knock on the bathroom door and asking for me to get out.. and we'll talk outside.. :)

I actually usually do a little driving. It relaxes me, and I can just survey the landscape. I also usually put on my favorite music. Plus, I'm not relying on a specific place to be open. You can drive anytime!

I really don't have a place I go to unwind. Sometimes when I can sit outside by myself and just listen to nature is nice but I'm never able to get outside alone. When I do get outside people insist on making a lot of conversation with me all the time and I hate it. So I just have to stay by myself and find ways to relax inside which usually involve candles and incense.

the most accessible place for me to go when i need some peace and quiet is my room. i could just pray that my housemates, whom im sharing the house and room with will be quiet, stay out longer or would leave me alone for a while. i could just listen to soft music and read a book. sometimes i just ask a friend to meet up and spend some time in a coffee shop. but for a longer vacation and some real time to unwind, i would choose a beach vacation. hope that there would be hammocks around the resort so i could really laze around and do nothing but relax and enjoy.

I always prefer go to a quiet corner which is located in our TeachingBuilding. It is a home of my heart;every time I feel hard .I'll go straight there and sing or just stand there for several minutes.and when I came back, I felt relaxing and energetic!

Hi hanirose, i will choose my home as the place. In my opinion, i feel that my house always is the place that can give me a peaceful feeling. For me, it is doesn't matter where am I, is a kind of feeling within me. I can make myself do not being influence by people around me.

For me it has to be woods-like surroundings away from people. The perfect place for me is this childrens christian summer camp, not too far from me. But before you actually get close to the camp. They had a gravelled off area under big leafy trees. The type where if you could imagine sitting or laying under it with your eyes closed and let the gentle breezes drift you off to sleep. And the lil bit of sun between the leaves warm your skin like a light wieght summer blanket. I used to drive there even 5am to just be alone and unwind. I would park the truck i had then, roll down the window, turn the truck off. And there right in front of me is the best scenry, of the widest creek the goes deeper and if you followed it, it does lead into a river around here. But where we are, to the left is a big very old wooden bridge one lane, up really high. Down below you are several small waterfalls. It is soooo beautiful. It was the only place I ever found peace. There has even been seen a heron in the water. Which you don't usually see in Kentucky, lol. Although we have had a few flocks of seagulls, guess they took a wrong turn somewhere or were planning on seeing the derby lol. If anyone would like I have some pictures of this place I could send you in a email. I would of put it in this letter but don't know how. Lish

It seems to be very difficult to find a quiet place to relax these days, as everybody else seems so hell bent on making as much noise as is humanly possible. My best place to relax is at home.....either in my living room in front of the computer playing music that I like, and in between tracks listening to the sounds of nature outside, or snugly tucked up in bed with my earplugs in. A secluded beach in a hot climate would be wonderful, if such a place (from the secluded point of view) exists any more.

When I need some place to unwind, I would like to choose some ancient streets. I can be relaxed when I take a walk on the streets by having a sight of the ancient buildings. It is really good. Maybe you can have a try. LOL

For me it would be either the library or the park near my house (it is always almost totally deserted!)

My bedroom equals my sanctuary. I get a lot of things done in that room. Even though I type a lot on the computer, most of my ideas come from when I'm lying in bed thinking. My rooms also hold all of my instruments. Without them I would be lost. I find peace in playing a song on my guitar.

It depends on my situation there are times that I find it in chapel to ask God's help for me. There are times that I and my bf going to the coffee shop also so that we could open up about things and also it is inspiring for us to see the bay at the Seattle's Best of Mall of Asia in Pasay City Manila Philippines. I really like to experience going to a natural resources or some kinda with nature environment that I could find my peace of mind. I want to feel the natural fresh air.
