rude lady at walmarts customer service

Today we went to walmart to pick up a few things
since its cheaper there.. Well, we had a coupon for free coffee stuff and another one for $1 off but the lady at the cash register just took them without taking them off the bill.
When my mom told the lady after she looked at her receipt and saw they hadn't been taking off. The lady said she was sorry and gave them back and told my mom she could go to customer service if she wanted them taken off.
Well when she went to customer service the lady working it first of all was goofing off and playing with crap and then when she finally stopped to take care of my mom she got all pissy and was like "YOUR LUCKY, my cash register is already open or i wouldn't be doing this and blah blah and then turns to the other lady working and says "I HATE COUPONS".
and this is customer service?! I thought customer service was suppose to be the nicest people there! that is why its called "customer service"
That lady is so lucky I wasn't standing there when she said because had i been there
i would of said something back!

Yeah, she was rude and I would have said something.
However, customer service is one of the hardest low paying jobs out there, so it's not hard to understand that these people would be less than professional. It's a you-get-what-you-pay-for kinda thing.

How on earth can you say that? being nice should come natural you getting paid for it no matter what amount is a bonus. I would have gone to the manager with a complaint. Who do people think they are that they can ruin someones day by being so rude? I don't shop at Walmart, I dont like that they dont have union and I dont want all my money going to China. I will pay a little extra and support the americans and factory workers.

I'm not saying that the women was right, I was saying that these people put up with a lot of crap for a wage that doesn't even close to paying their monthly bills.
I was in customer service before an trust me, when you are hollered and screamed out by people for a simple mistake and the money you make to put up with it doesn't even put food on your table, your fuse gets really short.
When someone in customer service gets short with me I just ignore it because I know that their lives are worse than mine.

Alot of these people are only in there position because it's a pay check. They hate their jobs, they hate being there and they hate their bosses. I ask why don't they quit? but they can't because aloit of then that's all they could find with their rotten attitudes. never nind not all customer service reps are like that.

Oh i bet they do! I know i'd hate to have that job but still it doesn't give them the right to get all pissy at someone! especially when they made them WAIT because they were GOOFING off. and i know not all of them are rude and thank goodness for that!

I disagree. I have a better job then customer service even with my bad attitude. It's mostly life problems that force them into lower paying positions. IE: Layoffs, jobs moving over seas, not having an education (not everyone can affort to go to college) illness, a need for a more flexible shedule and the list goes on and on.

I've had some rude customer service, too. It seems like they resent you for actually making them work for their money!

those are the kinds of things that get on my nerves, I wish I could've done something to get that old hag fired!!
