My boss is taking a business trip overseas, I reserved the flight ticket. This service was done by one of my colleagues, I don't need to care about the class of the berth at all usually.Ever since i take over this job, they told me, my colleague will settle this, all i need to get clear is time. I bear this in mind, and everytime, i inform time only. This time, something unexpected happened. My boss's subordinate goes business trip together with him, and his berth is superior than my boss's. If my boss goes alone, nothing happens, but things are different. He was aware of this in no minute and telephoned me. Of course asking why, i don't know the situation clearly. And there was one hour left for boarding the plane.
I've no idea what to do, i contact the person who reserved the ticket, seems that there's no good option except that my boss had to go to the counter for upgrade the berth.
How could i make him do this kind of thing. It's not eh his business. I've slipped my duty. You know, this is the first time my boss went overseas, and the first time i started to prepare for his agenda abroad, i've been working for less than one year. I haven't experienced this before. But obviously, my boss's not happy toward my behavior. I should have checked the tickets and communicate with his subordinates about the ticket. His subordinate's ticket was reserved seperatively.
How to explain? It maybe others' fault, but why don't i check. I carelessly trust others' work without check. I guess there's no solution except my mistake honestly.
Shameful, i made this kind of mistake in the big event. Gosh~~ I regret doing it

I don't know if he'll understand. but i feel it's kind difficult to admit my mistakes. I want to confess, but you know, sometimes, it's difficult for people to admit if others don't ask, it weird. Maybe it's only for Chinese. I can easily say SORRY to foreigners.
Thanks~~

oh heavens people make mistakes, I dont think this is a life threatening mistake and if you boss cannot see that well....i wouldnt want them as a boss. Put into perspective you made a mistake, it didnt kill anyone just offended your bosses sense of right and wrong, its a plane ticket not a holiday of a lifetime or anything. I am sure your boss will understand and forgive.

Hi Lynette, we all make mistakes so just apologise, accept that this has happened and learn from it and double check all bookings in the future. It wasn't you who made the bookings so I am sure even though your boss isn't happy he will understand and not hold it against you. Ellie :D

Hey, ellie, yeah, he's on business trip now, upon his return, i'd make a confession. Everybody like those guys who are brave to admit mistakes, i guess, although it's difficult to apologize. You know what, i even dreamed about this matter last night, better to let out and move on.
Thanks, enjoy life~~
