How will you spend your first/next payout?

So many people are reaching their goals of $10 nowadays (or higher payouts, for those who have the sufficient determination necessary! :)) that this phenomenon begs the question: what will you do with your hard-earned money? How will you stretch your $10 to provide maximum benefit for you or your loved ones? Will you save or spend? :) I have a couple of things that I'd love to buy. :) I love strawberry milkshakes and Starbucks is only too happy to provide them for me. :D I could buy a rabbit chew toy for my furry friend or socks for my boyfriend. The possibilities are endless on my end - where will your money go? :)

I have never spent any penny from my myLot earnings ever since I started here. I intend to save it for future use. I think I will be working harder here to earn a little bit more until I get to save enough money to buy something that is worth my hard-earned money. For the meantime, I will just have to save the money in my account.

My parents were right to take away half of my allowance every month and tell me they were saving it for my retirement :D I'm finding it very hard to save money that I have for the future! But I will try, because you like many others are educating me to! :D Thanks for your response!

Hi windwhiskey, Well, I saw a skirt a couple of weeks ago and I decided to use my mylot earnings to buy it. But I have earned enough to buy it and to have some left over. I am probably gonna put the extra in my saving account to build interest. Aww...the rabbit chew toy sounds fun and socks sound...interesting. Have fun with your earnings!

Did you ever see Forrest Gump? :D I love the scene where Lieutenant Dan tells Forrest that the key to staying alive was, partly, to change his socks regularly. By giving socks I am thus giving the gift of life! :D Hehe, he uses this same argument with a famous online quote about potatoes and flowers - potatoes are better because they're more useful and last longer and represent his everlasting love! :) So... yes... earnings. :D I get sidetracked easily, in case you couldn't tell! But thank you so much for commenting, this discussion's really made my day. ^_^ My bunny rabbit thanks you too. Take care!

Kudos to you! :) I don't think I could wait much longer than when I finally have it in my account. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll even wait for it to transfer to my bank account. :D I might just spend it all as soon as I get it in my Paypal account. :) Have an awesome day and good luck come payout day!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my payout. There is one thing that I'd really like. A piece of Harry Potter merchandise but I'm not sure what this payment is going to go towards. I may save half, and put the rest into my bank account to buy things that I need but I'm still not sure yet. I know I need to decide soon but I will figure it out eventually.

Harry Potter is the reason I speak in a semi-okay British accent. :) I couldn't fool anyone that I was from Britain but maybe my MyLot money can go towards an accent coach. Sweet! :) Hehe, I hope you get to purchase what you want the most (but also save, because now I'm advocating saving too o.o;). Take care and thanks for your response, I'm positively giddy about my most successful discussion yet! ^_^

I've already reached the minimum payout of $10 here in myLot last month (April 2008), if I'm not mistaken. But I've decided to accumulate it so I could encash a bigger amount; though I'm not certain if myLot permits this. My first payout would definitely be spent on paying-off a minimal portion of my outstanding balance in the credit cards. I have three credit cards with an aggregate balance of almost a hundred thousand pesos or an approximate equivalent of $2,325. Fortunately, I was able to pay-off a third of it last January 2008. I'm still in the process of cleaning up all of my loans and hopefully, I will be debt-free by the end of this current year. If possible, I don't want my daughter to inherit any of my own and my husband's loans.

My fiance has way too many loans as well and it is hard . I wish I was able on this site to bring in an extra 400 a month .

Mine pays my internet bill. If I don't make my own level of payout - which is set higher than the basic ten bucks, then it's bye bye mylot. *sigh* Mylot makes me work very very hard! Is it any wonder I've lost my marbles? LOL

When I finally reach payout I will be saving up to put money towards my sons third birthday party. His birthday is in January and every year I go well over budget so hopefully I can up my participation here and some of my other sites to save up enough to curve the blow to my wallet! :)

I would probably cash it out and laminate it. Hang the laminated bill om my wall where I can see it every time I entered my room LOL! I would kinda treat it as a thropy for achieving something. Something to remind me of lot of sleepless nights I had siting in front of my PC mylotting! LOL!

I think that was my idea in creating this discussion! :) Making a goal other than just getting the payout, and laminating it is as good as any idea. ^_^ I wish I had the willpower to stop myself from spending it like you suggest!

Well I came seeking this discussion as I have responded to many of the like. I came to seek another as a thought has just occurred to me as to how I will spend my next earnings... My fiance would like a new controller, but I hope to post enough on here to make money to help with the bills as well as save for ourselves, but also I would like to get my fiance a new game system. Maybe a Wii system even though I know my fiance would like an xbox 360, I don't think he'd be to upset if I was to get a wii system.

As a child, my parents would often teach me that I couldn't always have what I wanted, but I would get what I needed. :) I would pass up candy, ice cream, and other treats at the store but I would never go hungry, which was definitely something I came to appreciate when I started volunteering at a local soup kitchen. So I can definitely understand buying stuff that you need! :) At the same time it's great to have fun every once in a while, so perhaps I'll save up for an amusement park ticket. :D That would be amazing! Thanks for responding - this is only my third discussion so far I think! ^_^

I'm treating it as extra money, so I'm going to leave it in my PayPal account as savings. With this and a few other things, I'm hoping to buy something nice in a few months.

Wow, your ranking is so high in the mylot.com category, despite the relatively low number of posts you've made! ^_^ It's people like you that lead me to believe I can make something of myself in this community despite being a newbie. :D Thank you for responding and I wish you the best in accruing money to fulfill your desires! :)

Save it for a while, I still haven't decided what to do with it yet. I won't earn that big this coming payout, so I might just keep it at bay and wait for the right moment to spend it wisely. On my previous earnings here, I already bought myself a new acoustic guitar and a new amp for my electric. It's gonna take a long time for me to have something to spend at that I desire, so I'd keep it for a while in my account.

This month i think i can never reach my payout. i am far away from it. actually i may miss it by whisker. i had been very less active this month. that can be the main reason. also i hope to reach in june. so will be hopefully paod in July. i want to transfer that money to my bank account. it will also help me to make a golden ring for my mom.

Hi WindWhisked I have been here four months now and have had three payouts so far and have already madde payout for this month too and so far I have left each payment in my PayPal account which I am going to build up so that I have a decent amount towards Christmas. This month so far I am at $26.58 so it soon adds up eh! I am hoping by Christmas to have over $200 saved. Keep posting, keep responding and you will be there in no time at all. Ellie :D

I still haven't used the money I earned from mylot last April. If I even reach another payout in June, I would have 20 or more already and would probably try to wait another payout before withdrawing it from paypal so I could buy a stroller bag for my child or probably a new cellphone for myself :-)
