I have seen on the news last night that if the government still force the telecommunications company to have the text messaging free, then possible that globe, smart and sun cellular will remove the text messaging service, since they have huge amount of investment for this system and they dont want to have such investment for nothing.Oh No...Majority of the Filipino's was addicted to text messaging service and I surely say that it greatly affects many subscriber. What is your thoughts about this guys?

Is this only going on overseas? I do not watch the news but I have not heard about this at all for the United States either. That is sad that many companies will remove texting so that they can keep the profits.

As far as I understand the issues is for philippines, but I guess we have text messaging service internationally which is the common ways of communicating filipino families from other countries outside philippines which is cheaper than callings,so will need big impact with the people.

Yes alot of people are going to have to petition these companies that are planning to do this and hopefully they will get it stopped..... The companies almost sound like american cellular companies but I know they are not. I hope that this gets straightened and that texting willl not be canceled.

It's easy... The cell companies can't afford to really remove the service, they only put pressure up.

I myself dont really like to use text messaging, but I know there are people out there that use that as their way of talking to people,so I think that all companys should have text messaging, and should have it free,or for a very small amount of money.

oh no..if that happens many filipinos might not use their phones any longer..it will add up to high costs..just dont pursue the free text service..just lower the price even more so that everybody can afford it.

It's rubbish, they can make a change on text plan or text promo, but removing it it's a civil case if not criminal....It's a consumer right to have a better service...
