When my daughters were little they took dance

I took dance when I was young, but I had to quit when I was twelve because I have bad hips and it was getting to the point where I was in pain more often than not. I was gutted. To this day I still wish I could have continued. My niece is three years old and she really couldn't be less graceful if she tried. Perhaps ballet classes would help her in that respect.

My daughter did dance in high school - the chorus line type stuff they do at half-time of the ballgames. They would also choreogram programs to popular songs to perform. My oldest son probably wouldn't get much past the two-step. He's a country boy - complete with boots and Skoal! My youngest son likes to dance - whatever is popular plus he likes some of the ballroom type dances.

Well mom I did think of sending Niamh to dance classes but she told me she didn't need classes as she already knew how to dance! lol She would love to go to drama classes and I am sure she would love it but with Dad working shifts and my mobility I wouldn't be able to get here there which makes me feel bad! xxx

I wanted to take ballet lessons, but it wasn't in the family budget. I did, however, manage to stand on tip in my sneakers.

My youngest daughter was the only one who took an interest in dance when I gave her a music box with a ballerina inside at about age 6. After that she took tap and ballet for about two years until her dance instructor closed the studio to spend time with her newborn. My daughter did not want to go to the other local studio, even tho many of her friends would be there, so she stopped at that time.
