Do you reply to very old MyLot posts?

I have seen lots of really old archived MyLot posts. And, some of them are really interesting. I'd love to be able to reply to them. Some are still active, even though they were posted months ago. However, I'm not sure whether or not we are supposed to reply to old posts. Does anyone know whether or not these posts earn any money for responses? Have you ever responded to an older post and not earned any money for it. I would love to get the answer to this. I've checked the MyLot Terms of service and there's no mention of this situation, as far as I can tell. So, I'm assuming that it's OK to reply to older posts. Tell me what you think.

I don't know about earning from replying to old posts, but it's okay for me. As long as the topic is intersting, I would readilly give my response to it. It' not all about earning, right myLotters?

The only way to figure out if we get paid for respnding to one particular discussion would be to respond to that one and no others nor do anything else that day. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Sometimes I run across an old question that sparks my interest. I usually will post an entry and often will receive a reply. And I love it when an old question of mine has sparked a response. I always reply. I think they count just as a new discussion.

I think that's right. It sounds right. I responded to an old discussion the other day which was almost nine months old. It had no responses, but I still liked it.

If I've not already replied, and its an interesting topic, I'll reply to it. I know I've brought back a couple from several months ago. Too bad some of my very old discussions don't get revisited.

Yes I do reply to old posts, I always think that if they were not meant to be answered then they would not be on here! I have answered to some that are over a year old! I cannot remember if I ever got a response back from them or not though!

i reply if I am really interested and if my answer would still be relevant. some are about things that were current then and my' answer would not gibe with the subject at all. so then I do not post.

Yes, I do. No problem if it's a 2-years old question. in fact, yesterday I responded to a year old post because I posted something similar to it and I saw it under similar discussion. I also didn't notice a rule that pertains to this situation but for sure there's a credit for this.

I find really old discussions by answering recent ones. they are tagged with some of the same tag words and show up below the recent discussions. I have and=swered some as old as 14 months old. There is not a FAQ that asks about this nor is there a guideline that I know of that states which discussions we can respond to nor ones we shouldn't respond to. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

SO, I guess it's OK, then. I will try it out on some days, just responding to the older posts and see if it earns much. I will keep everyone updated on the topic. Thanks for dropping by, as always.

I respond to a lot of older posts. Sometimes I even respond when I know the person isn't active anymore because I know there might be somebody one day who has the same question, that way they'll get an immediate answer instead of waiting for someone to answer their post. I am almost 100% positive that you do earn for disucssions that are older. I answer a lot of them that were posted a year or so ago one day and I still earned that day.

Hi There! I'm not sure if we get money for it or not but I have replied to discussions that are at least one month old, some I have done recently. If it is interesting I will go ahead and respond to it. Take care!!!

I still respond to old posts I guess I have never paid much attention to if we still get paid for it or not. I just like to post.

I responded to a discussion that was a year old the other day and i've responded to older discussions before as well.. it doesn't matter to me how old is it and it is ok to post to them.. it wouldn't make much sense if mylot didn't allow posting to older discussions.

Ok, that actually makes sense.

I dont think that there is nothing wrong to respond the older posts. Because I also watch lots of posts which has been raised even one year ago, which are most interesting.. Infact i have responded some of the discussions also from those older posts. This is also considered as the your responses, you will defenately paid for that, there is no where it has been mentioned in mylot, that you will get it paid for you to repond only the recent discussions, and also no one will define like that, so, dont make confuse yourself, you can respond any discussions available in the mylot forum, even though at the same has been raise by any one and raised at any point of time, in you feel that you can able to give the good quality response for those discussion, you can go ahead and respond All the very best.. keep postings.. this is really a very good discussion. (the above mentioned points are my personnal opinion).

I'm glad to hear we get paid, cause that's important too. I know there are lots of older posts that other members would respond to as well, if they knew they would get paid. Getting paid is not everything, but it's one factor that is important.

I reply to anything that is of interest to me. I do think that Mylot should get rid of any that are over a year old. That way there would not be so many repeats.

I believe it's ok to response to old post as long as they are still active. I respond to old post as well at times. It's not bad to do so.

Sure I do, why not? Even if they have been marked with the best response. As long as you have not answered the discussion, I believe you still get paid for your post.

If some very old posts are still interested me, I will reply them. For me, mylot is a very good place to improve my command of English language.

I have answered old posts before. I can't really tell you if I was paid for it or not though. I don't pay that close of attention and unless you only answered that one old post to test it out I don't think there is a way to tell. I usually get responses to my comments on old posts too. I say, go ahead and post to anything that grabs your attention or is interesting to you.

Apparently, even if the discussion is really old, I came across it found it interesting so somebody else might too... So I don't look at the dates, I just post to whatever I find interesting... Someone might run into it & find my reply/post interesting & might spark up a conversation or at least find the posts interesting & read about it...
