Past experience selling Lemonaide or other things at a stand?

I was reading the newspaper yesterday and noticed that there was a news story telling people about a lemonaide stand that was being staffed by young people in the area to raise money to fight a type of cancer... Have you ever sold or helped to sell lemonaid or something else at a stand? Did you raise money for yourself or something else? Did people come to your stand? Did it wind up being in the newspapers?

Thanks for posting... I must admit that I can picture drinking up the profits at a lemonaide booth. Wondering how those flea market booths work... What do you sell and do you make much at it?

Hi there White Heron! Yes, I have sold food like pancakes, squid balls, fish balls, kikiam, fruits, halo-halo and even viands at a stand. It was when my husband and I were starting up. That's the time when he didn't have a job, got fired for not agreeing to cover up illegitimate acts of his boss, and I was pregnant. So the money that we saved is supposed to be spent when I gave birth. But thankfully, our godfather in our weddingpaid for the delivery expenses so we bought a DVD player for the money that we saved instead. My husband found a new job before I gave birth too and we stopped selling. Lots of people went to our stand and almost everyday, everything I am selling got sold but it didn't make the newspapers.

You were very resourceful and creative... Did you make what you sold? That sounds like it was difficult and challenging... It sounds like you and your husband have a lot of courage. I am glad that your godfather was kind enough to pay for the delivery expenses and that your husband got his job.
