HELP! I just colored my hair at home using a non-ammonia color. I was wanting to color my roots and make my hair all the same color. BUT now the top of my hair is an orangish color and the bottom of my hair is blond (I think because it was previously highlighted.) What should I do to fix this (hopefully without going to the salon?) It looks REALLY bad! THANKS!!!!

oh dear. there used to be (not sure if they still sell it or not) a color stripper found in the hair color aisle. now before you run out and try that...beware!! ive known 1 person it actually worked for, and 1 person that it turned the hair 4 DIFFERENT COLORS..me being that person lol! i had everything from dark brown to literally golden blonde roots! not in streaks either, but some streaks, some round areas, it was weird! you could possibly rememdy the situation by going a DARKER color all over. but give your hair at LEAST 24 hrs before doing that. in all honesty, i would go to the salon..they will know exactly what to do..it might cost a pretty penny but you wont be taking the risk of frying your hair or ending up with my 4-in-1 "do"!!
