I dont have a particular shampoo. I oil my hair and brush it for growth because it would get too dry. I put a weave in my hair which last for close to two months before removing it. I usually wash it once monthly now. I shampoo first then condition.

Hi Anu, Treat your hair as you would treat a baby. You have to attend to your hair but not too much. Too much fussing spoils everything. As you had written I also do the same thing. I have thick hair even at this age. I oil the hair when I feel that my hair is dry. I go according to the needs of my hair. If it is greasy and sticky, I wash it and if it is dry I massage oil on the scalp etc. If need I shampoo daily also or sometimes once a week. Nothing is written there, go according to your type of hair. I have a blog about haircare if you like you can visit that. ok I'll give you the link. http://hairremedies.blogspot.com/ Go through the posts there. You'll find it helpful.

I use Pantene for my shampoo and conditioner. Been using this product for years. I find this brand as the best one for my long straight hair. I also try to have hot oil treatment at least once a year at a salon. At home, I use a hot-oil treatment cream at least once a month. It's easy to apply and cheaper than going to the salon. I just have to shampoo my hair first, then towel dry. I then apply the cream into my hair and scalp and massage thoroughly. I wrap my hair with a hot towel for 10 minutes. Once done, I repeat massage, then rinse and towel dry. I started using this product after I noticed that my hair was losing luster due to taking hot-showers during winter. Now, I can see the difference and my hair looks healthier and glossier.
