He was an amazing director. He could stand toe to toe with some of the best actors. "The Way We Were" "Out of Africa" "Tootsie" Just to name a few. What was your favorite? I enjoyed Tootsie.

Ah, I remember Tootsie too, I thought it was very well done.

That's such a shame. I saw "Out of Africa" only a couple of weeks ago and I adored it. It was so beautifully shot and so romantic (like the part where Robert Redford is washing Meryl Streep's hair). It was a really finely crafted and touching film.
