What Are You Doing To Battle Gas Prices?

I shop near my home. I save all my errands for one day and cover everything. I get anyone else I know to drive. I walk to places if I can. I don't spend as much extra money as I used to. Basically, I down-sized my already down-sized life. If I didn't need my Jeep, I would consider trading it for a car with better mileage. I shop more online. It saves gas and tax. Nothing too creative. We're victims of George Bush's crazy ideas that have brought America to her knees. I'm sure he's not worried about gas prices.

I actually haven't driven anywhere in quite awhile. I don't have anywhere to go and if I have something to do, I try to handle it online if I can. I even applied for a job online. I just don't drive if I can help it. Just seems pointless to go out and waste money and gas if I don't have to.

I have tried that hyper miling which works well if you don't have a lot of cars behind you. We only have two lane highways in this area and some were not happy with me when I wouldn't push on the gas to go up the hills. It did actually help when I went on two trips one 60 miles away and one 90 miles away. We also got our little car fixed so we can drive that instead of the van. I also read where it is best to pump gas early in the morning when it is cooler because you don't lose as much gas as you do when it is pumping during hot hours. Also you get more gas if you don't pump it on the fastiest position the nozel goes on. I have been trying to do all that cause every penny helps.
