It really depends on each person individually, Some people have very high pain tolerances while others dont, people heal differently too. What you can probably expect is to go through alot of menopause symptoms all at once. I wish you a fast recovery and take care!

hi, sorry about your pain. i had to have a partial hysterectomy several years ago when my 11 year old was in kindergarten, so that was tough in itself because she had to be walked to school every day and brought home. someone told me about a very good website and i will pass it along toyou (knowledge is power!) http://www.hystersisters.com/ as for me, it took me about 6 weeks to get better (if you have had a c section, the pain is pretty much the same) best of luck to you sistah!

i've never had children, because of the P.C.O.S. So i dont know what a c-section is like. i've never given birth.

Hi kyrinayres-I can understand how apprehensive you must feel as I was 30 when I had one-the operation takes a couple of hours-the day after you are given exercises that you must do daily to get your pelvic muscles stronger again-when you go home you will have some kind of home help and will probably not be able to do anything for a few weeks-when I had mine done I couldn't even make a cup of tea and had to depend on when home-help came or my husband was home also a few friends helped as well-it is a long recovery but personally I have never looked back it was the best thing that I ever had done-so don't worry too much you will be fine...I just hope this message hasn't reached you too late-your friend littleowl
