Can you put down a book mid chapter? Or do you have to reach the end first?

I caannot set aside a book unless I have reached the end of a chapter. Can you just drop a book in the middle of a chapter and pick it back up, or do you finish the chapter before setting the book aside?

I can stop anywhere in the book. Even if i don't finish the chapter. I have sometimes read to the end of a chapter but it I had to just stop for any unknown reason. I can stop just like that. Then pick up right where I left off at.

I wish I could do that. I have to get the end before I can set the book down.

There has been a few times that the book was so good that i had to finish the book and couldn't put it down. Then i had to learn that the book can wait and i can always come back to the story.

I hate when I have to put a book down in the middle of the chapter. I only do it unless I really have to. For instance if I'm getting really tired or something more pressing is going on like I have a chore to do right now or I have to be somewhere such as class or whatever. Otherwise I'll finish reading until the end of the chapter and then save my place for later.

it depends on what i am reading. if i am reading a chapter book, i like to end the chapter, but if it is a non fiction book, i can stop anywhere. (it also depends on how exciting the book is.)

I usually cannot set aside a book if I am in the middle of the chapter. However, there are some times that I force myself into doing it because of things that need to be attended to. So before I start reading, I make sure that everything is in order before I sit down and read a book. This way, I would be able to enjoy my book in peace. If I am about to fall asleep, I try to reach the end before putting the book down for the day.

I do the same thing. I make sure that everything is out of the way before I sit down to read. I just find it hard to stop in the middle of something.

I can stop in the middle of a chapter, that doesn't bother me. However I can not stop in the middle of a sentence or page. I HAVE to finish the page and the sentence. If the sentence continues to the next page i keep reading to a page that ends at the end of a sentence.

That would be the next best option, reading through to a page where the sentence ends at the bottom.

I can stop in the middle of a chapter. Sometimes i have to or i wont go to sleep or do anything else that needs doing. Sometimes i have even stopped midparagraph.

mid paragraph, I've never been able to do that. I at least have to get to the end of a chapter or section before I can set it down.

Hi there syeryn! Yes, I can do that. I always do that. I just read the book when I am in the toilet or if I have nothing else to do so when something needs to be done, I really need to put the book down.
