Before we decided to buy any album or mp3, what are the criteria you will consider before you make your purchase?
For me is as follow:
1) The artist
2) The genre
3) The melody
4) Friends' recommendation
5) Price and promotion
what about you guys?

Usually, I just listen to bits of an album on amazon or itunes to see if I like it. I can't pick by genre because I don't have a favorite (I listen to almost every genre). If one of my friends recommend an artist then I check them out - but that doesn't happen often.

I only think about the genre when I choose music. First I listen to one song to see if I like it before buying an album. Then I look up the artist to see what else they've done. Sometimes I read articles about them or blogs that people wrote about the artist. Usually, other's opinions don't concern me. I just follow my own rhythm.
