Why is Enzymology Important?

I'm writing up another lab report and I did very poorly on the explanations of the last one. So I wanted to see what others have to say about why enzymology is important to biochemistry. Maybe I'll be inspired to write a better lab report.
If you aren't sure about enzymology, let me know what you do to make your lab reports better. I definitely need to pass this lab so that I'll be done with it.

Very little is written about enzymes and people know very little about them. They take the last place probably and the many important books and reports are made about vitamins and minerals and now the darling is antioxidants. Flavonoids are getting some spotlight these days but enzymes don't get the exposure that they deserve. Go write your report. Enzymes need a champion. Cheers!!
