Have you ever even been to Switzerland?

The Sphinx Observatory, Top of Europe - This photo was taken during an afternoon walk with hubby...using his tele-lense Nikon camera. Standing at the foot of the Eiger Mountain. This is the Sphinx Observatory, Europe's highest vantage point...

I've been to Switzerland many times already. My family and I just love to spend vacation in there either winter or summer vacation. My most memorable experience was when I managed the trip to the Jungfraujoch. I was six months pregnant when I was there. I did not leave Swiss Alps without a nice memory so I really convinced my husband to go with me up in the sky..lol.. The Sphinx Observatory on the Jungfraujoch the Top of Europe. It is one of the most amazing man-made objects I've ever seen. Inside you'll find Restaurants, Shops, Restrooms, Children's playroom, Ice Place-- the never melting ice sculptures, Tennis ban etc... and there is a high speed elevator to reach the top-- the Sphinx Observatory. And from the Sphinx terrace you'll find a scenery of ice and snow and a marvellous view of the Aletsch Glacier. What a view! It's really heaven...

Thank you kalav! Yes, there are some ice sculptures that never melts inside the Ice Palace, you know why, because it is minus 10 degrees Celcius in there, the floor and the walls are from ice even the seats...lol.. only the rails are from metal but still it is very cold. You can make your own ice cream in there because there are plenty of ice..lol..(kidding) .. So, you're from India...interesting. I would love to visit India someday.

Never been to Switzerland, even in my dreams, hehe. And the sad part of it is I know that I wont have that chance to experience what you had experienced. So you must be very thankful for such a wonderful opportunity. That is something that you can be proud of and to be treasured for the rest of your life.

I've only been to Switzerland once. Unfortunately it was on a huge guided tour of Europe. Because of that, we only got to drive through Switzerland. We stopped for maybe an hour or two and do a little shopping. I was kind of disappointed that we didn't get to spend more time there. It sounds like you do have a really great memory from your trip with you your husband.

I have done that guided tour too, it was here in the Netherlands and i did not enjoy the tour so much, 'coz i couldn't go anywhere. I was told to always stay close to the guide. And the time was limited. Who knows, maybe somday you'll be able to see the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Thanks for responding kel! Have a great day!
