I wonder why they can't send the children of the Texas Polygamist cult back to their mothers but away from any of the men!!?? Doesn't that make a lot of sense? And would keep the children safe? But at the same time with their mothers..

Flowerchilde, I hate to break this to you but these mothers were at the very least complicit in the events that happened in this compound! Would they be safe with their mothers? They weren't before, why would they be now?

Why do you think the mothers are any better than the fathers? Why is it so easy for you to see men as criminals and women as innocent? The mothers and fathers are all adults and they all made the same choices. They should be locked up and the children should be put with healthy families.

These are the women who allowed their 14 year old daughters to 'marry' older men. They did not think it was wrong or immoral to force their girls into polygamist 'marriages'. They will go on telling their children that there is nothing wrong with their religious beliefs and that the outside world is wicked and is trying to stop them living the life they believe in. Those poor children will be more confused and will not understand what is right and what is unacceptable, not to say unlawful.

I heard that the state is appealing to the Supreme Court and bringing in additional evidence, which is why those pictures of Warren Jeffs were released. This situation is so sad and I don't understand how the Appeals Court ruled the way that it did considering that some of those young girls are either pregnant or have recently given birth. I'm all for religious freedom but, when young girls are taken advantage of and young boys are beaten and abandoned, I draw the line. All of these cults should be subject to the same child welfare standards that the rest of us are, along with the same criminal standards. I understand that most of these "spiritual" wives with children are receiving welfare payments and food stamps. The state requires that the father of the child be named and his location be given when filing an application for assistance so obviously these women have committed welfare fraud.

This clown should be put under the jail not in it. I don't know why the police have not invaded these compounds where this type of Polygamist activity is going on in America. Where is the government when you need them. This is nasty.
